AccuFlange Technical Data Sheet
SMACNA encourages the use and development of new technology. However, SMACNA does not evaluate or endorse proprietary connecting systems. To meet industry demand for a simple, easy to apply, round and oval connecting system, AccuFlange was developed as a SMACNA T-24 Transverse Joint profile, illustrated in SMACNA Duct Construction Standards Manual. AccuFlange is manufactured from 18 Gauge galvanized steel, rated as an “H” Transverse Joint reinforced connector.
The AccuFlange connecting system, installed and sealed per manufacturer’s recommendations, has been tested to 10″ w.g. positive and 10″ w.g. negative pressure with virtually no leakage or joint deflection. The integrity of the round AccuFlange connecting system was further demonstrated when negligible joint deflection was measured during a suspension test performed in accordance with SMACNA criteria. Reinforcement for flat sides of oval duct shall be of the same size and spacing interval as specified for rectangular duct. Refer to Section 1 of the SMACNA Manual for flat span joint and intermediate reinforcement. AccuFlange is also available in stainless, aluminum, galvaneal and PVC coated material.

Single Wall Installation
The patented AccuFlange connecting system, installed and sealed per recommendations, is suitable for use on all systems across a range of internal duct pressures from 10″ W.G. to 10″ W.G. negative.
